This Used LANDROVER SERIES III car for sale My 1977 LWB 2.25 diesel Series 3 Landy i have had for ten years of which i spent five years slowly repairing. Due to a medical condition i was unable to drive for this period. Have taken it up to cooktown and the Atherton Tablelands several times with my wife and twin girls to see the family. I am no longer able to drive so it and my boat of which i built at the same time need a new home and some care. Landy has a worn pressure plate and i can no longer fix or pay someone. I have taken it up to Fraser Island on our honeymoon and this is the only time it went on the beach, B4 we went i sprayed it with 4 cans of inox and applied a liberal dose of heavy oil then drove inland on some dusty roads. When i Bought it from Cairns off the 2nd owner who worked in weipa using it for the annual Topend fishing trip the motor was worn. New Pistons, liners, gudgeon‘s, Bearings, Injectors and complete timing equipment fitted. New master cylinder and complete set of brake cyinders clutch plate and new 3" wide brake drums and Shoes fitted, Rims were Blasted and painted fitted with 750 / 16" Simex tires which still have plenty of rubber left. The gearbox has all new gears & sincro with a rebuilt with High ratio transfer gears fitted to improve highway speed and economy 110k/h + possible. Reco Starter, alternator, fuel pump, fuel lines and resouldered Duel tanks. After the initial runin period Amsoil upper cylinder lubricant and ctain additives have been used which further improve durability and provide excellent economy. New front damper and reset rear springs and bushes. Hand Throtle on firewall. The body has not been touched other than the fitting of a rear seat for the twins and new door tops. I have not done a thing other than change the oils since. Happy Motoring
